Work on manuscripts of theses, books, articles requires some automation because too much time is spent for routine reformatting of the scientific (academic) paper with all possible negative consequences - both the availability of errors and the desire to write. This is especially true in cases when parts of the paper are relatively frequently regrouped, changed in places and complemented by new fragments.

Previous Thesis New template was developed for for "simplification of life" of scientists and teachers which write theses with MS Word. Judging by the number of comments and suggestions such template is really needed by many scientists, not just me and my colleagues.

While working on thesises (my and my colleagues) as well as books and manuals, I may note that functionally an automation manuscripts writing is similar (if not identical) for different types of work. This causes to a necessity of separation of automation functions (numbering and referencing) from the design (a set of styles). Actually the template Thesis New had such defect of combination of automation functions and the design. So the template adaptation for another kinds of writing caused to undesirable duplication and modification of interfaces and program code.

ThesisPaper is a new version (2.0) of the template for manuscripts writing of theses, books, articles, etc. that provides whole functionality of Thesis New template (version 1.3). So upgrade from Thesis New template is "painless" because principles, "hot-keys" and "old "settings have been left. Most changes made "inside" of the template (i.e. in its architecture and program code) that is primarily important for advanced features and development of new templates of other types of work.
